Every year, National Nurses Week is recognized between May 6th and May 12th as a time of the year to devote attention to the nursing profession. What did you do this week to recognize and celebrate the nursing profession? According to the American Nurses Association, this year's theme, "Delivering quality and innovation in patient care, emphasizes our role and influence in making the health care system work better for patients."
So as some of you may be graduating, while the rest of you may still be scrambling to bring the semester to an end, we encourage you to think about this year's theme. Reflect on how you may deliver quality patient care some day.
