Orientation for Students Entering Clinical

In conjunction with New Student Orientation for the Spring 2012 Term, the College of Nursing will be holding the Orientation for Students Entering Clinical this month. All continuing undergraduate students, without RN certification, who have completed ALL prerequisite requirements and will begin the nursing clinical sequence in Spring 2012 should plan to attend. An email announcement was sent by Stef Daley, Assistant Director for Academic Advising and Learning Development, requesting your attendance and an RSVP to confirm. Please see the details below:

This orientation will provide you with the opportunity to have your questions answered regarding your upcoming clinical experience(s). The following topics will be covered by Deans, administrators, members of the faculty, and current NYUCN students:
  • Health Clearance Requirements for entry and continuance in the clinical setting
  • Appropriate behaviors and apparel for the clinical setting
  • The clinical progression of courses, the schedule, and required passing marks
  • Technological Requirements for the clinical setting
  • Resources for academic success available to clinical students
