Among college students, about 90% are smartphone users. The most common smartphones used are the notorious apple iphone, and Android phones. Smartphones give people access to apps, or applications; which keeps information at your fingertips. There are apps for anything you can possible imagine, from opening a house door or starting a car, to taking quizzes in class. There are a growing number of apps for Nursing students right now, and many students are unaware of these hidden gems; Nursing Apps

Be sure to mark your calender for this big event! You will meet with employers from a variety of local/national hospitals; and from other health related organizations and facilites. Wednesday, December 3rd 11:00AM - 1:30PM. Wasserman Center, 2nd floor. 133 E. 13th street New York, NY 1003. Open to all NYUCN students, bring your ID to gain entry.

Free Food for NYU Students

                                                                                                                                   
A lot of students have a NYU meal plan, and use dining dollars. But are you aware of the NYU meal swipes community? It is a great opportunity for NYU students to donate leftover/extra meal swipes, and students who are hungry can ask and request a meal. Click here to visit the Facebook page. 

How does it work? Visit the online request form and click "offer a swipe" or "ask for a swipe". Click here to sign up now.  It is very full right now, so we encourage students to please donate spare swipes!


Below are a few other great tips and resources for students looking for free meals around campus:


- NYU events calendar updates daily/weekly for events on campus that will have free food. On the upper right hand side there is a "Free Food Events" tab. Use that, as well as the calendar on the left hand side to view upcoming NYU events with free food included. 

- Free Food at NYU twitter page provides information on events or spots around campus that will have free food. Check frequently.

- Eat Up NYC Facebook page that finds free food all around NY for the general public. 

- Campus Clicker sign up here to receive texts and/or emails of coupons for food, markets, etc.

Resume and Cover Letter Aid to the Rescue




Hello Nursing Students!     


As we get through the beginning of November, many students can not help but think about their careers, and what kind of job will be acquired. There is plenty of time for that for sure. However, it is never too early to think about dusting off and cleaning your resumes and cover letters! NYUCN is offering resume and cover letter workshop next Wednesday. All nursing students are encouraged to attend especially those graduating this semester.
